See all of Boston from 52 stories up. A short walk from Northeastern’s campus, View Boston at the Prudential Center offers sweeping views, rooftop events and interactive exhibits.
Northeastern’s Boston campus is a short walk from several of the city’s most recognizable attractions — Fenway Park, the Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall, to name a few.
But what if you could take in all those sights — and more — from 52 stories up?
View Boston, the observation deck atop the Prudential Center, offers a 360-degree look at the city from 750 feet above ground. It’s a worthwhile stop for visiting colleagues, family or even a Boston local in search of a new perspective on familiar surroundings.
Located at 800 Boylston St., View Boston is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is less than 10 minutes by foot from the east edge of campus. A recent weekday visit brought a mix of tourists and youth camp groups.
The visit starts with an elevator ride to the 52nd floor, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the Boston skyline and beyond — the harbor islands, Charles River, State House and Wachusett Mountain.
One level down, an open-air terrace features public art and a bar. The 50th floor includes interactive exhibits on the city’s neighborhoods, landmarks and history. The venue also hosts weekly programming, including fitness classes on Tuesday mornings and live music on Wednesday evenings.
Admission is $30.60 for adults, $28.80 for seniors and $15 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.
Pro tip: The price drops to $15 after 9 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
